A$AP Rocky recently pulled off a charming surprise for Rihanna’s 38th birthday on Friday. The couple enjoyed dinner at Giorgio Baldi Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. Rihanna turned heads in a sheer black dress paired with stylish heels and a faux fur jacket. Meanwhile, Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, opted for a laid-back look with a checked shirt, tan pants, and sunglasses.
The intimate private dining area was filled with silver balloons that read “Happy Birthday,” complemented by vibrant red, white, green, and blue balloons floating overhead. A light blue tablecloth and fresh flowers added a touch of elegance to the setup.
Since their relationship became public in November 2020, Rihanna and Rocky, who is 37, have been seen as a power couple. Earlier this month, Rihanna humorously responded to a young student’s question about her marital status with Rocky, the father of their three children: 3-month-old RZA, 2-year-old Riot, and another child born just a few months ago. Rocky playfully remarked, “You want Rihanna, don’t you? Well, you got me. You got me today.”
Despite dodging questions about marriage, Rocky shared that music plays a huge role in their family life. “We introduce the kids to all sorts of music—from Michael Jackson to The Beatles, and even some reggae. It’s quite diverse,” he mentioned.
The couple welcomed their third child, a daughter, in September, not long after Rihanna revealed her pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala. Rocky expressed his excitement about expanding their family, noting it was a “great feeling.” He remarked that they couldn’t wait to share new experiences with their children, and it’s clear they’re both quite invested in their family life.
Earlier this year, Rihanna reflected on how motherhood has reshaped her decisions, saying, “Every decision now revolves around my children.” She acknowledged the challenges that come with balancing her career and motherhood but emphasized the importance of being present for her kids. “I always have to remind myself that I asked for this and I love this,” she shared, expressing her desire to find fulfillment without guilt.
