Although age-gap relationships in Hollywood are less taboo than they once were, they still seem to fascinate people.
The judgment comes as no surprise to British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who met his wife when they were teenagers. “What you have to realize is that I was doing things when I was 13 that most people do in their 20s,” he told Rolling Stone UK.
Taylor-Johnson famously met his wife Sam on the set of her 2009 directorial debut, Nowhere Boy. He would have been 18 or 19 at the time. Sam was 42 years old and she was 23 years older.

The two quickly fell in love and announced their engagement at the film’s premiere in October. The following year, the couple had their first daughter. They married in 2012.
Taylor-Johnson said of the ongoing saga: “Are we rushing to do something for other people? I don’t understand that.” “How fast should I enjoy life? That’s strange to me.”

The couple have four daughters, including Sam’s two children from a previous marriage, and Taylor-Johnson loves them dearly.
“I realized that it was my job to protect the purest, most innocent thing that came into this world,” he said of becoming a parent. “And it is your duty to be an example to them. He has the same level of protectiveness towards his wife, with whom he co-starred again in the 2018 film A Million Little Pieces. Public opinion was not very good. The film has an approval rating of 27% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“There’s a sense of self-preservation, and I think that’s really difficult. There’s a part of me that feels like if something goes wrong, I’m responsible.”
Sam not only directed but also wrote the screenplay, and Taylor-Johnson starred in the film.

“People see and recognize things like this regarding my career, and that’s okay,” he told the outlet. “But I’m just trying to balance my family and work. I try to go about my normal life, like dentist appointments.”
