The search for the next James Bond appears to be over.
British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role of a lifetime as a secret agent who is “unshaken, not stirred” while drinking a martini, sources report. told The Sun.
The “Super Express” actor, 33, is expected to sign on the dotted line this week, the newspaper added.
Aeon Productions, which is producing the 007 film, is said to be preparing to begin filming later this year.
“Bond is Aaron’s job if he wants to take it,” a source told the magazine. “A formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.”
“As far as EON is concerned, Aaron is expected to sign the contract within the next few days so they can start preparing for the big announcement,” the source added.
If he accepts the deal, the “Tenet” actor will take over the reins from Daniel Craig, who played Bond in a total of five films over 15 years.
Craig, 56, was in his 30s when he signed on for the role.
After playing Bond in the 2006 film Casino Royale, he went on to star in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and finally in 2021’s No Time to Die. cheered.
Taylor-Johnson reportedly screen tested for the Bond series in 2022.
“I think it’s fascinating and wonderful that people see me in a role like that. I take that as a great compliment,” he told reporters last week.

The actor’s first major role was in the British hit youth comedy ‘Angus, Tongs and the Perfect Snogging’ back in 2008.
He played the role of a teenage John Lennon in 2009’s Nowhere Boy, where he met his current wife, director Sam Taylor-Wood.
Taylor-Johnson was 18 when he met Taylor Wood, then 42. The two married three years later.
The actor went on to appear in major films such as Kick-Ass, Anna Karenina, Godzilla, Nocturnal Animals, and Tenet.
He will co-star alongside Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in the action comedy The Fall Guy, which is scheduled for release later this year.
