Abby Phillip Allows Left-Wing Podcaster to Call Stephen Miller a 'Nazi Jew' Without Challenge

CNN Host Abby Phillip Responds to Controversial Claims About Stephen Miller

During a recent episode of Jennifer Welch’s podcast, “I’ve Had It”, the host did not challenge Welch’s description of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller as a “white supremacist” and a “Nazi Jew.” This incident occurred on Thursday and garnered attention given Miller’s history of being a target for criticism from the left.

Welch remarked that Miller essentially controls the White House and described President Trump as preoccupied with decor projects instead. She expressed her view that Miller, despite being Jewish, aligns with anti-Semitic behaviors, categorizing him as a “Nazi Jew.” In response to these strong statements, Phillip simply said, “I can’t speak to what Stephen Miller’s motives are.” Notably, she mentioned having met and interviewed him before.

Phillip emphasized the importance of understanding those in power, including Miller, but did not engage with the specific accusations Welch made. “I think you need to understand the motivations of people who are in power,” she stated. She expressed a desire to grasp their ideologies and where they may lead, noting that this involves listening to various perspectives, including controversial figures such as Steve Bannon.

Miller’s perspective attracted more scrutiny, especially after he started receiving a barrage of messages from activists. The pressure led him to place his home on the market for $3.75 million. Reports indicate that many messages he received branded him as a destroyer of democracy and condemned white nationalism.

In another encounter, Miller faced protesters at Union Station in Washington, D.C., responding to concerns over President Trump’s crime policies. Additionally, during a CNN News Central segment on October 6, he was asked about allegations of racial profiling in immigration enforcement. He sarcastically dismissed the question before asserting that illegal immigration detracts from opportunities for American citizens of all backgrounds and, in many cases, leads to serious crimes.
