Abortion Is President Biden’s ‘Top Issue’ for Reelection Campaign

US President Joe Biden has made unrestricted abortion a top priority as the November election approaches, writes William McGahn. wall street journal Tuesday.

As Biden has made clear, “there is no abortion that he restricts, and he opposes the Hyde Amendment’s restrictions on using tax dollars to pay for abortions,” McGahn said. Note. “Politically speaking, there is no more absolute pro-choice position.”

Biden, the second Catholic president of the United States, received significant backlash from the U.S. bishops for his pro-abortion stance early in his presidency, but he has reinstated on-demand abortion as the law of the land. Church leaders have remained mysteriously silent as they have promised to do so.

McGahn said last week that Kamala Harris made her first visit to an abortion clinic as vice president and “stopped by a family planning facility in Minnesota to tout the Biden administration’s proud support” for America’s No. 1 abortion provider. It made history, McGahn wrote.

The Democratic Party has taken a more extreme pro-abortion stance than ever before, with some Democrats now “pressuring party leaders to talk about abortion as a positive rather than a sad and regrettable necessity.”

McGahn talks about the era of Mario Cuomo, “the originator of the ‘personally opposed’ rhetoric long used by pro-Catholic Democrats,” and Bill Clinton’s “safe, legal, rare” ” The days of anti-abortion beliefs are over.

“The 81-year-old Catholic president has disavowed any restrictions on abortion that he once voted for as a senator to follow the dictates of the abortion lobby,” he added. But for some in the party, it’s still not enough.

Despite his overt support for abortion, Biden still struggles to say the words, to soften the reality of taking the life of an unborn child, which his church shuns as murder. I prefer visible euphemisms.

So, in his recent State of the Union address, Biden did not say, “Because Texas law prohibits her ability to act,” as he had prepared, but instead said, “Because Texas law prohibits her ability to act.” ” observed McGahn.

Nevertheless, Americans who vote for Biden will know exactly what they stand for, as Democrats are hugely supportive of abortion under any circumstances.
