AC/DC Concert Footage Sparks Fan Debate

Footage from one of AC/DC’s recent performances has ignited heated discussions among fans online, with some suggesting that the iconic band should consider retiring their guitars for good.

Over the past few months, AC/DC has been gradually adding dates to their Power Up World Tour in Europe and the US. They’ve also revealed plans for a comeback tour in Australia later this year.

However, some Australian fans are now second-guessing their plans to purchase tickets after seeing the viral concert footage.

The clip, which circulated on TikTok, features Angus Young passionately belting into the microphone while dressed in a buttonless white shirt and blue velvet shorts. When singer Brian Johnson starts to sing, the crowd seems to drown out his vocals.

“I was thinking about getting tickets until I saw this,” one fan remarked.

“I really wanted to see you this year, but now I won’t. Thanks for that,” another expressed their disappointment.

Another comment read, “This hurts so much. They just need to stop.”

“Please tell me Angus is really putting effort into this tour. They’re still my favorite band, but I’m hesitant about going now,” another fan shared.

Many similar comments echoed the same feelings, with fans urging the band to “preserve their legacy” instead of continuing their performances.

Despite these worries, some fans pointed out that it’s unreasonable to expect the band to perform at the same level as they did during their prime.

“Sure, they’re an older band, but that doesn’t mean they should stop doing what they love,” another commented.

The legendary rockers are set to perform at a power-up concert at the MCG on November 12, followed by shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 21, then at the BP Adelaide Grand Finals on November 30, Optus Stadium in Perth on December 4, and Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on December 14.

During their last tour in Australia in 2015 for the Rock or Bust run, the band sold over 520,000 tickets.
