Hollywood actor Christian Oliver and his two young daughters died Thursday when the small plane they were traveling in “crashed into the ocean” off the coast of a Caribbean island, officials said.
The 51-year-old “Speed Racer” star, whose real name is Christian Klepser, was survived by his daughters Madita, 10, and Annick, 12, when he died along with pilot Robert Sachs in the fateful plane that crashed on Thursday. ) was with me.
They were flying from Bequia Island to nearby St. Lucia when their single-engine plane “experienced difficulties and crashed into the sea.” This was announced by the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police.

Cellphone video captured the moment the fixed-wing plane fell from the sky, plummeted into the sea, and disappeared under the waves.
Fishermen and divers rushed to the scene of the attack in boats and tried to rescue the victims, before the local coast guard responded and recovered four bodies from the wreckage, which was about 70 feet deep.
All four people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The actor, best known for his roles in “Speed Racer'', “The Good German'', “Valkyrie'' and “Indiana Jones and the Dial'', had been posting about his travels before the tragedy.
He shared a photo of a tropical beach dotted with palm trees at sunset just three days before the accident.
“Hello from somewhere in paradise! To community and love… Girlfriend of 2024 [sic] we are coming! ” he wrote in the accompanying caption.
Oliver was born in Celle, Germany and grew up in Frankfurt. When he was 21, she immigrated to the United States to pursue a career in modeling and acting.
His IMDB page includes the 2006 upscale drama “The Good German,” directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring George Clooney and Cate Blanchett, and the 2008 futuristic racing film “The Good German,” starring Emile Hirsch. He has 63 acting credits, including “Speed Racer''. role.
Oliver also had a successful career as a television actor, appearing in Save by the Bell and the long-running German police drama Alert to Cobra 11.
