Actor Milo Ventimiglia and his wife, model Jarrah Mariano, who is pregnant with their first child, lost their Malibu home in the devastating wildfires that ripped through the Democratic city of Los Angeles.
“When you start thinking about all the memories and all the different parts of the house and all that, it just breaks your heart when you look at your neighbor's house and everything around you,” Ventimiglia told CBS News.

Ventimiglia and his wife evacuated their home on Tuesday and watched remotely via surveillance cameras as their home was engulfed in flames.
“I think there's kind of a shock moment where you go, 'Oh, this is real and this is happening,'” the 47-year-old said.
“And at some point we pivoted.” [the cameras] off. What's the use of continuing to watch? We kind of accepted the loss,” Ventimiglia added.

Ventimiglia also noted that his wife had prepared a nursery for their unborn child before the fire.
