Actor Peter Green Passes Away at 60
Peter Green, the actor celebrated for his roles in films like “Pulp Fiction” and “The Mask,” has passed away at the age of 60. The news was confirmed by his manager, Greg Edwards, though the cause of death hasn’t been shared yet.
According to Edwards, Green was found deceased in his Manhattan apartment. A neighbor had reportedly heard Christmas music playing loudly from Green’s home early on Wednesday morning. When the music continued without stopping, a medical check was carried out, leading to the discovery of his passing.
Edwards spoke highly of Green, describing him as “a really great guy” and highlighting his status as one of the best character actors around. He mentioned they had been friends for over a decade and praised Green’s talent and kindness.
Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Green gained recognition with lead roles in “The Laws of Gravity” and “Clean, Shaven,” both released in the early ’90s. He left a lasting impression in Quentin Tarantino’s iconic “Pulp Fiction” as a villain and starred alongside Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in “The Mask” in 1994.
Throughout his career, Green appeared in nearly 100 productions, including notable works like “The Usual Suspects,” “Blue Streak,” and “Training Day.” His latest acting role was in a TV series called “Dope Thief,” and at the time of his death, he was working on a documentary entitled “From the American People: The Withdrawal of USAID,” which he was producing and narrating alongside Jason Alexander and Kathleen Turner.
