Richard Gere Criticizes Trump Again
Left-wing actor Richard Gere has once again spoken out against President Donald Trump, labeling him a “rogue” president responsible for harming many individuals.
During recent interviews while promoting the second season of the Paramount+ series agency, in which he plays the CIA’s London director, Gere voiced his harsh criticisms of Trump. “He is a very destroyed rogue. He has hurt so many people and caused so many deaths,” Gere stated, although he did not provide any supporting evidence for these claims. He went on to reflect on Trump’s character, suggesting, “You see, he must have had a terrible childhood to become the person he is now.”
In a different part of the press conference, Gere expressed concern about how American intelligence agencies, including the CIA, adapt to changes in presidential leadership. According to a Sky News video, he said, “What do they have to go through as the presidents and administrations of the United States change?” He emphasized that espionage activities continue regardless of political transitions, hinting at the importance of continuity within these agencies.
Gere’s comments appear to praise intelligence agencies for their operations despite the shifting political landscape, suggesting they act independently of elected officials.
It’s worth noting that Gere is known for his progressive views, often using interviews as a platform to critique Trump. Recently, he expressed feelings of shame regarding Trump’s policies on immigration, referring to him as a “lunatic” and likening his leadership style to that of a “monstrous dictatorship.”
In the past, Gere has described Trump and his supporters as a “dark entity” and has accused them of nearly destroying the country. This includes criticism of Trump’s tough immigration policies and his demeanor, labeling him a “thug” and “bully.”
