Actress Kristen Stewart recently claimed that Twilight, the movie that catapulted her to Hollywood stardom, is “a very gay movie.”

Stewart, who identifies as a queer woman and has dated famous men and women throughout her film career, made the assertion in a recent interview with Variety magazine.

The advocacy, which focused on her LGBTQ identity, was tied to a popular young adult fantasy series about vampires and werewolves. Stewart said she recently noticed that the film had strange overtones.

From mentioning how Stewart has “come to fully embrace her queerness in public,” to referencing her 2000s hits, various things have been said“She's beginning to realize that Twilight, the most ostensibly heterosexual work she's ever done, has its own strange brilliance.”

The actress said, “I can only watch this movie now. I don't think it necessarily started that way, but I also think that the fact that I was there permeated it. It's a very gay movie.” .

“I mean, Jesus Christ, Taylor,” Stewart added, hinting at how obvious this idea was to her. [Lautner] and rob [Pattinson] And me, and it's so hidden that it's not okay. So a Mormon woman wrote this book. It's all about oppression and desiring things that destroy you. ”

“It has a very gothic, gay slant to it, which I love,” she added.

Kristen Stewart has been publicly coming out as queer in Hollywood since 2017.

On the show, Stewart referenced Trump's tweet in 2012 in which he warned his then-fiancée and Twilight co-star Robert Pattison not to take her back because of her affair. Speaking to a studio audience, she told President Trump: “Donald, if you didn't like me then, you probably don't like me now, because I'm the host of 'SNL.' You’re gay, dude.”

Commenting on the moment, she told Variety, “It was cool to frame it in an interesting context because you can sit down and say everything without having to do an interview.”
