Surprise, Arizona. – 2011 Major League outfielder Adam Duvall was offered a $1 million contract by Royals and had the opportunity to earn another $1 million with performance bonuses.
However, he declined and reported that he intends to retire if the team is not guaranteed at least $3 million, two sources told the Post.
The $3 million represents what Duvall (36) made with the Braves last season.
The correct hitter attitude has overtones on what Anthony Rizzo said to athletic recently. If he boosts what he thinks is worth it, future players will pay badly.
Duvall didn't have an overall season where the Braves hit .182 with a .569 OPS. However, he continued his career strength by hitting left-handed on the slash line of .252/.342/.514.
The Royals wanted to add Duvall in the middle of the orders for left-handed starters.

Duvall, a key member of the Braves '2021 Championship Club, hit 195 career homers, including 11 last season.
