Former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois on Wednesday endorsed President Joe Biden’s reelection, calling him a “proud conservative” and asserting his unwavering support for Democrats.
His support came as no surprise to many in Washington.
Kinzinger, who previously hinted at running for president against former President Donald Trump, said Trump Rejected To appoint him Secretary of the Air Force.
“Today, as a proud conservative, I support Joe Biden for reelection because I am an unwavering supporter of democracy,” Kinzinger said in a statement of his endorsement.

After announcing his endorsement, Kinzinger posted a video on X, which was shared by the Biden campaign.
“I say to all Americans of all parties and independents: now is not the time to sit back and watch as Donald Trump threatens the future of America,” he said. “Now is the time to unite behind Joe Biden and get Donald Trump off the stage once and for all.”

Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement that Kinzinger was “a true public servant who sets an example by putting our country and democracy above partisanship and blind deference to Trump.”
“Congressman Kinzinger represents countless Americans who Donald Trump’s Republican Party left behind,” she added. “These Americans have a place in President Biden’s coalition, and we know that our campaign must stand up for them.”
