Adam Schefter lashes out as Aaron Rodgers’ free agency drags on

Adam Shefater is out of patience.

ESPN Insiders vented their complaints about Aaron Rodgers' free agency process.

“For me, this shouldn't be that difficult, right?” The shifter said About the “Jen, Gabe and Chewy” podcast.

“Like the Steelers want you. The Giants want you. We're watching players from the entire league make decisions.”

Schefter's comments come with Rodgers, officially released by Jets on Wednesday.

And while the new league year didn't start until Wednesday, players around the league have agreed to the deal from Monday.

His decision has a major impact on the Giants and Steelers. Both are believed to have 41-year-old Rodgers on his quarterback wish list.

Russell Wilson looks like a fallback plan for both franchises — and the Super Bowl-winning QB may also be in a panic.

Wilson, who started 11 games with the Steelers last season, had planned to visit the Browns and Giants in that order over the weekend.

Cleveland is not considered a Rogers option as the AFC North Team links with Kirk Cousins.

“It shouldn't be that difficult,” Shefater said. “You either want to play or not. Do you want to play in Pittsburgh, you don't. Do you want to play in New York or not. Tough, what are you going to do for lunch? Are you going to make a decision, or drag it out for four days, five days, a week? It's not that difficult. Make a decision and live with it.”

Rogers and Shefater clashed before about their decision about his future.

In 2023, when Rogers was retiring and the Packers had decided to trade him, he was troubled by reports about Shefater's situation.

The four-time league MVP told Shefatar to “lose my number” after reporters reached out directly.

“I texted him. Essentially: “Have you ever told the Jets you wanted to play there? I wanted to open it to you,” Shefater recalled the exchange.

“He probably didn't respond for 10 minutes. So I called the number and was sent to voicemail. He then texted me, 'Lost my number. Try to toe.' That's all. He's the one who says the media is wrong. I wanted to go to the sauce and do the right thing. That's all. I was about to do my job. ”

And now, Shefatter hopes for his work to include a report on Rogers' next team after two overwhelming years with the Jets.
