Adams and Hochul appear in public together for the 1st time since NYC mayor’s indictment

Mayor Eric Adams joined Gov. Kathy Hochul on stage Monday night at a solemn Oct. 7 commemoration ceremony in Manhattan. This is the first time the two have appeared together in public since Hizner was indicted on federal corruption charges.

Mr. Adams, who is facing calls for his resignation, and Mr. Hochul, the Democrat who has the power to remove him from office, took to the stage at the memorial service in Central Park, along with other prominent Democrats.

The two did not appear to interact on stage. It is unclear whether the two spoke after leaving the stage during the heartbreaking event.

Since that meeting, several of Adams' top aides at City Hall have resigned, including his longtime confidant Winnie Greco, whose resignations were announced around the same time as Monday night's ceremony.

Monday's memorial marked the first anniversary of Hamas terrorists massacring 1,200 Israelis and taking 250 hostages back to Gaza.
