Brody King Stands Out at “Grand Slam Mexico”
Pro wrestler Brody King made waves in Mexico City on Wednesday night by sporting an “Ice Ice” t-shirt during the “Grand Slam Mexico” event.
In a thrilling 14-man tag team match, he faced off against notable names like Adam Cole, Atlantis, and Bandido, ultimately defeating teams that included Dachshund Harwood and Lance Archer among others.
The event took place at Arena Mexico and featured a mix of wrestlers from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), one of the leading wrestling promotions in Mexico.
In a noteworthy moment, King expressed his support for protesters in Los Angeles who have been actively opposing the city’s immigration raids. These protests have escalated at times, leading to confrontations with law enforcement and significant unrest.
He shared a post from Mexican makeup artist Jose Cholera, criticizing the current situation. King noted that what’s happening in Los Angeles raises important moral and legal concerns, emphasizing the city’s status as a sanctuary city, a designation decided by its residents.
King, along with others, highlighted that accusations against undocumented individuals often mischaracterize civil offenses as criminal ones. His statements reflected a deeper criticism of aggressive law enforcement practices, suggesting that the real issues lie with those imposing the law rather than the individuals they target.
Several other public figures have echoed similar sentiments, with Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Enrique Hernandez also voicing his concerns.
Meanwhile, President Trump has expressed strong support for immigration enforcement efforts in the city, calling for expanded actions in other urban areas.
