After 5 Years of Rising Prices, NBC Introduces Grocery Price Tracker

NBC News has shifted its focus to tracking grocery prices, raising some eyebrows.

It’s interesting how things change.

As Joe Biden steps into the Oval Office, the COVID death tracker that was prominently featured seems to vanish. (I wonder if he got the vaccine? Did more people die of COVID under Biden than Trump?)

Then there’s the fact that after a record-breaking inflation period, Biden now thinks it’s a good idea to introduce a “grocery price tracker.”

“Is President Donald Trump’s approach leading to lower grocery bills?” NBC News asks.

The report mentions Trump’s plans to tackle food prices if elected in 2024, yet notes that egg prices—a common inflation indicator—are over a dollar higher than last year. Trump himself acknowledged that reducing prices is “hard.”

It seems the Democrats might have handled things better.

“This article is updated monthly,” they say.

If prices do go down, is anyone really confident it’ll be updated as promised?

Strangely, NBC’s tracker doesn’t include gas prices or an overall inflation reference, which might seem a bit odd.

The silver lining is that the public seems to be seeing through these media games. People are forming their own opinions about the Trump economy based on personal experience, rather than being swayed by the narratives that outlets like NBC push.

The reaction to NBC’s announcement was, well, amusing and quite critical.

So, maybe instead of getting upset with NBC News for this, we should acknowledge the paradoxes and encourage people to see through the biases. The mainstream media can no longer hide behind such tactics without facing the consequences. And perhaps that’s something to be thankful for. More of this, please. Let’s keep it coming.
