Bondi began her letter:

Before you took office, I requested a complete and complete file related to Jeffrey Epstein. In response to this request I received about 200 pages of documentation, consisting mainly of flight logs, a list of Epstein contacts, and a list of victim names and phone numbers.

“I repeatedly questioned whether this was the complete set of documents that corresponded to my request, and I was repeatedly assured by the FBI that I received the complete set of documents,” the Attorney General continued, reporting that the department was inspired by a source at the FBI Field Office in New York that stated that the department had withholded the complete file.

“Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York owns thousands of pages of documents relating to the investigation and the indictment of Epstein,” wrote Bondi. “Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never revealed the existence of these files.”

Bondi said he had already spoken to Patel after receiving the tips Wednesday evening, writing that the FBI director was “as surprised as I learned this new information.”

She then handed Patel two hard deadlines.

By 8am tomorrow, February 28th, the FBI will deliver a complete and complete Epstein file to my office, including all records, documents, audio, video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained.

It also directs me to immediately investigate why my orders to the FBI were not compliant. Within 14 days, I will deliver to me a comprehensive report of your findings and proposed HR actions.

In her conclusion, Bondi added that she knows Patel is “committed to transparency for the American people.”
