Oklahoma Man Charged with Threatening Federal Agents

On Friday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement shared images of a suspect who allegedly made threats against federal agents, being taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations officers.

“Threats to assault, kill, or obstruct federal employees are felonies,” the agency stated.

Logan Murfin from Tulsa, Oklahoma, faces 10 charges after he posted on social media suggesting that federal agents deserved to be shot, killed, and executed, as noted by ICE on X.

One of the released images captures Murfin being restrained, with background holiday decorations conveying a “Season’s Greetings” message.

According to an announcement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma, Murfin has been charged with five counts of making death threats and assaults against federal law enforcement officers, aimed at intimidating or interfering with them, as well as five counts of sending interstate communications with threats of harm.

Further details from court documents indicate that Murfin deliberately made numerous threatening posts on social media regarding the assault and murder of federal officers.

One disturbing claim from Murfin stated that federal agents should be shot and called for people to “keep arms” and “kill them on sight” since, in his view, they “don’t deserve to live.”
