An aggressive driver was shot multiple times in Houston, Texas on Friday night after allegedly checking his brakes, blocking him, and chasing a couple in another car.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m.
Kou reported The suspect, a man in his 40s, was driving a pickup truck when he “targeted a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old man.” A pregnant woman was also in the car with a young man.
The driver checked the brakes on the 20-year-old man, then swerved into oncoming traffic to get next to the man, eventually blocking the vehicle's forward motion and getting out of the truck with his hands in his pockets, police said.
Fearing for himself and the woman he was with, the 20-year-old man opened fire, striking the 40-year-old man multiple times.
Lt. R. Wilkens of the Houston Police Department explained:
ABC13 noticed A 24-year-old Houston woman who shot and killed a man in her apartment on Christmas Day is claiming self-defense.
Police said the man, Jonathan Mason, 22, was dead when officers arrived. Houston police have determined that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute, and the case will be heard by a grand jury.
