Al Qaeda Leader Calls for Trump's Assassination Over Pro-Israel Stance

Call for Retaliation by Terrorist Leader

A leader of a Muslim terrorist organization, with a $6 million bounty on his head, is urging American Muslims to seek “revenge” against President Donald Trump and his advisors.

Sa’ad bin Atef al-Awlaki, who heads the al-Qaeda branch in the Arabian Peninsula, made this statement in a video released on Sunday. Reports surfaced on Tuesday detailing his remarks.

In his declaration, al-Awlaki specifically mentioned Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegses, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk as targets. He expressed a motivation rooted in their pro-Israel stance.

“I call on all the pagan criminals and all the arrogant American Muslims. It doesn’t matter if they’re Arabs, Americans or of other descent. The key is that the Prophet should be Muslims who are Muhammad,” he said, addressing the over four million Muslims in America:

“I’m telling them all: revenge! Revenge! Avoid discussing the murder of a pagan American. There are many decisions to be made, and the list of targets must be significant. Pursue the scum of the earth—Trump and his vice president, his advisors, and Elon Musk. Keep track of their families and those close to White House politicians.”

The terrorist leader also purportedly seeks to inspire isolated extremists to take action against leaders in Egypt, Jordan, and Gulf nations, claiming they have contributed to the destruction in Gaza.

On a related note, it was reported recently that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has reopened after previously shutting down due to threats from Hamas, which controls aid access in the region. A GHF spokesman commented:

“Hamas is the reason hundreds of thousands of hungry Gazans couldn’t eat today. They directly threatened GHF operations, making it impossible to continue without risking innocent lives. Hamas wants to revert to a previously exploited system. While GHF remains committed to providing safe and independent aid, we will adapt our operations to continue distribution without delay.”

Following the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, President Trump condemned the assault, calling it a “wild act” that needs to be dealt with severely.

During his first term in 2017, Trump authorized a drone strike that reportedly eliminated ten jihadists from al-Qaeda in Yemen. In 2020, he announced the removal of Yemeni terrorist Qasim al-Leimi, and earlier this year, a U.S. precision airstrike took out the leader of a Syrian al-Qaeda affiliate.

Trump congratulated General Michael Kurira, acknowledging U.S. forces’ efforts against jihadists who threaten the U.S. and its allies.
