Alabama A&M’s Medrick Burnett Jr. Dies After Suffering Severe Head Injury During Game Against Alabama State

Alabama A&M announced Wednesday that redshirt freshman linebacker Medrick Barnett Jr. has passed away.

“Today, our Bulldog family is saddened by the loss of Medrick Burnett Jr.,” said Director of Athletics Dr. Paul A. Bryant. “Medrick was not only an extraordinary athlete, he was an outstanding young man whose positive energy, leadership and compassion left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
