Jalen Milroe is headed to the NFL.
The Alabama quarterback declared for the 2025 draft on Thursday after spending four seasons in Tuscaloosa.

[Nick] Saban, thank you for believing in me and teaching me the standards of excellence. to coach [Kalen] DeBoer, thank you for challenging me and helping me grow into the player and leader I am today.
“Thank you to my entire Alabama family for accepting a kid from Texas and for giving me the honor of wearing the letter 'A.' Representing this university is one of the greatest honors of my life. ”
Milroe, 22, was the starting signalman for the Crimson Tide the past two seasons, posting a 20-6 record.
In 2023, Milroe helped lead Alabama to the College Football Playoff, but they fell just short in a heartbreaking 27-20 loss to Michigan in the semifinals.
This season, Milroe and Co. went 9-3 in the regular season and missed the expansion playoffs, but the season ended with another loss to Michigan, this time in the Reliaquest Bowl on New Year's Eve.
In four years at Alabama, Milroe threw for 6,016 yards, 45 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.
Milroe also proved to be a big threat on the ground, rushing for 1,577 yards and 33 touchdowns, 20 of which came this season.
He is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks taken off the board in April after a strong performance at Alabama.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. ranks Milroe as the third-best quarterback on his big board behind Colorado's Shedule Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward.
CBS Sports ranks Milroe as the 32nd best prospect in next year's class and projects him to be a first- or second-round pick.
Milroe's decision comes less than a week after Georgia rival Carson Beck announced his decision to enter the draft.
