Alan Cumming Invites Trump to Reality Show
Alan Cumming, who hosts the Peacock series “The Traitors,” has extended an invitation to Donald Trump to join the reality TV show as a contestant.
During a backstage interview at the 2025 Emmy Awards, Cumming was asked if anyone specific could join the competition. He casually remarked, “Well, I’m sure our president is very good on the show.”
Cumming has been openly critical of Trump in the past, expressing in a January Vanity Fair article that having Trump or any of his associates on the show wouldn’t be particularly appealing.
While Trump is not particularly familiar with contemporary reality TV, he does have experience from hosting 14 seasons of “The Apprentice” and “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC.
“The Traitors,” which debuted in 2023, revolves around contestants participating in a murder mystery game set in a Scottish castle, with a prize of $250,000. Previous participants have included various reality stars and celebrities.
The series achieved notable success at the Emmys, winning all five awards for which it was nominated in 2025. This marks the second consecutive year of such wins.
As of now, Trump has not publicly responded to Cumming’s invitation to join the show.
