Ritchson said Christianity should influence the daily lives of Christians.
“The message is that the kingdom is coming to us… We are earthly creatures made for this place and this resurrection will take place on earth,” he said. “If you really follow the Christian path, you will be a good steward of this place.”
The two went back and forth over several important Christian doctrines, including Paul’s claims to apostleship. Maher said Paul was not a true apostle because he did not walk with Jesus in the flesh. Ritchson countered that Paul was an apostle because Christ appeared to him in a vision.
“You have to believe in magic, and I’ll admit that I believe in magic, too,” Ritchson said. “The voice he was speaking to said, “Why are you persecuting Christians?” He was talking about Christ. I believe that [Christ]. ”
“I believe that kind of magic is real,” Ritchson added.
