Aldi is adding holiday products to its shelves throughout November, with new limited-time items arriving each Wednesday through Nov. 25. The selection includes frozen snacks, appetizers and sweets, and every item is priced under $10.
The first November release included the retailer’s Advent calendars, which come in a range of versions featuring chocolate, cheese, wine, beer, tea and beauty products. There are calendars for dogs, too.
Other items in that week’s drop included crab and lobster cakes, iced gingerbread cookies, and pastry-wrapped pigs in a blanket seasoned with everything bagel spice.
Products expected on Nov. 11 include peppermint mocha and caramel brûlée ground coffee, chocolate-covered cranberries, sugar cookie kettle corn and a maple nut brioche loaf. More seasonal offerings due later this month include beef and Swiss pastry bites, chicken nuggets shaped like holiday figures, candy canes and chocolate peppermint bark.
The holiday lineup follows a range of Thanksgiving foods Aldi brought out in October, including sweet potato casserole, cranberry jalapeño dip, truffle cheddar and scalloped potatoes.
Aldi’s seasonal products often draw attention from shoppers. Last holiday season, customers shared online finds such as discounted pajamas and a cookie jar, as well as a crafting Advent calendar with supplies for sand art and bracelet-making.
A similar creative option, the Creativity For Kids Sensory Play Advent Calendar, is available at Aldi this season. The chain operates more than 2,000 stores in 36 states and says it has been recognized for value among U.S. grocery stores.
