One of showbiz’s most controversial couples is getting their own reality TV show.
On Tuesday, Alec Baldwin, 66, and his wife Hilaria, 40, announced that they will be creating a TLC series featuring their seven children: Iliaria Catalina Irena (19 months), Maria Lucia Victoria (3), Eduardo Pao Lucas (3), Romeo Alejandro David (5), Leonardo Angel Charles (7), Rafael Tomas (8), and Carmen Cabriele (10).
Baldwin has son Ireland, 28, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
in Instagram Video Announcing the show, Hiriaria said, “I have an announcement to make.”
The “30 Rock” star then said, “Oh my god, not at all,” to which Hilaria responded, “No, absolutely not! We’re not having any more kids,” making it clear that their announcement wasn’t about having any more babies.
“We’re inviting you all into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good and the bad and the wild and crazy,” Alec said onscreen. “Home is where we want to be most.”
The sneak peek trailer ends with the parents and seven other “Baldwins” sitting on a couch and shouting into the camera, “We are the Baldwins!”
“And we’re coming to TLC!” Alec said, adding, “God help you guys!”
According to TLC’s official description of “The Baldwins,” the show’s working title, “Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making waves ever since they got married nearly 12 years ago. In this TLC docuseries, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing children. For the first time, they’re opening up about their family life and letting everyone in on the nonstop love, laughter and drama.”
Alec has frequently found himself embroiled in controversy due to his frequent scuffles with the media, and in the past has even punched a photographer.
He also still faces a pending manslaughter trial stemming from the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halina Hutchins on the set of the Western film “Lust.”
Baldwin was indicted on the same charges in January 2022 by the Santa Fe District Attorney.
He pleaded not guilty, but the case fell through when it was determined that further tests were needed on the weapon that fired the bullets, and the charges were dropped in April that year.
He was subsequently indicted a second time by a New Mexico grand jury.
If convicted, Baldwin could face 18 months in prison.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin July 9.
Meanwhile, Hiriara has been accused of lying about her Spanish heritage, including her accent.
“The Baldwins” is set to premiere on TLC at a yet-to-be-determined date in 2025.
