Alec Baldwin shooting TLC reality show during ‘Rust’ trial

The show must go on.

Alec Baldwin is currently on trial in New Mexico for manslaughter, but the legal process will not stop filming of his upcoming TLC reality show, The Baldwins.

In newly released photos, the 66-year-old actor and his family appear to be followed by cameras in Santa Fe, where he is on trial for the October 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halina Hutchins on the set of “Lust.”

The Post confirmed that content for the reality show is being filmed.

“Filming is moving forward at full speed,” a TLC source said. “The trial will likely be a storyline.”

Last month, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin announced that the upcoming show will focus on their home life with their seven young children: Carmen, 10, Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 3, Maria, 3, and Iliaria, 1.

The show is scheduled for early 2025.

But he first needs to get through the trial.

Baldwin is accused of firing the gun that killed Hutchins in October 2021 on the set of the film “Lust.”

According to the incident report, Baldwin allegedly grabbed a gun, not knowing it was loaded with live ammunition, and police said he pointed the gun at Hutchins and fired one shot, striking her.

Prosecutors charged him with reckless conduct that caused the death of his 42-year-old mother.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said in an affidavit after the shooting that neither Baldwin nor First Deputy David Holes knew the gun was loaded.

Halls later pleaded guilty to negligent use of a deadly weapon.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed, a gunsmith on the set, was convicted of manslaughter in March and sentenced to 18 months in prison. She is appealing the conviction.

New Mexico, like many other states, has a “Son of Sam” law that prohibits criminals from profiting from crime, but it likely doesn’t apply to Baldwin’s reality show, which is ostensibly about his family.

“It’s not the same thing,” a TLC source said. “There’s no conflict here.”

Baldwin’s trial is expected to last 10 days and will be broadcast live on Court TV. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in prison.
