Alec Burks making most of Game 3 opportunity for Knicks vs. Pacers

The Knicks’ roster and depth have taken a number of big hits recently, and they needed big plays from other role players.

Alec Burks will play in Game 3.

The Knicks shooting guard, who played just one minute on the floor this postseason, scored 13 points on 4-of-4 field goals in the first half against the Pacers, including two from 3-point land.

He logged 12 minutes, marking his first double-digit minutes since April 12 against the Nets.

With OG Anunoby out with a hamstring issue and Jalen Brunson playing through a sore foot, Burks provided key depth in the first two quarters.

However, he did pick up one significant foul against Myles Turner at the end of the second quarter.

That led to two runs from the charity stripe and Pascal Siakam’s 2-pointer on the ensuing possession, giving Indiana four points.
