Alex Singleton’s Remarkable NFL Return

A significant return is set for the NFL this Sunday.

Alex Singleton, a linebacker for the Broncos, will make his comeback during the “Sunday Night Football” game against the Commanders in Week 13. This comes just three weeks after he underwent emergency surgery due to a sudden diagnosis of testicular cancer.

He shared a photo of himself sprinting out of the Mile High tunnel, captioning it with, “See you Sunday night!” Singleton, at 31 years old, is certainly looking forward to the game.

Earlier this month, Singleton shocked fans and players alike when he revealed that the NFL’s random drug tests had uncovered signs of cancer. He had surgery just hours after playing in Denver’s victory over the Raiders in Week 10.

Singleton mentioned increased levels of the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), expressing his concern since, as he put it, “this is not coming from the outside.” He’s passionate about what he allows into his body, which made the diagnosis all the more alarming.

In light of his experience, Singleton hopes his story will promote awareness and encourage others to get regular screenings.

He voiced his gratitude, stating, “Thankfully, the cancer was caught early, and I believe the prognosis is good for me and my family.” He’s still awaiting further test results but is optimistic about being back in action soon.

The seasoned linebacker has only missed one game throughout his career and is gearing up to play just 23 days post-surgery.

According to reports, he has been eager to return to the field and is “chasing” the opportunity to play this Sunday night. Singleton put up impressive numbers, making nine tackles in his last game against the Raiders, bringing his total to 89 tackles for the season.

As a native of California, he is keen on helping the Broncos maintain their strong performance as they lead the AFC West this season.
