Canada’s elections have been run under the Chief Election Officer appointed by the House of Representatives for 10 years.

How Canadian Elections Handle That

Once the vote closes on April 28th, the spare results will usually be announced on the same night. Before you can officially make the results, it takes another 2-3 days to validate all votes – check for errors and re-count triggers – re-count triggers.
