Former Trump administration communications director Anthony Scaramucci told CNN’s “The Read” on Friday that “everything” about former President Donald Trump’s relationship ends in “blackness.”
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “What do you think about all the support Donald Trump is getting from Republican officials on the court?”
Scaramucci said, “Well, this is a mandatory loyalty test by some, but all, high-level Republican officials. They use the same hand signals as Donald Trump. They wear the same clothes as Donald Trump.” But that will never be enough for Donald Trump. Unfortunately, those who have worked for him, Michael Cohen, and others, including myself, have learned this. Nothing pleases Trump either; he is incredibly transactional. If he shakes your hand and smiles charmingly, five minutes later he runs you over with a bus or with a car. Even if he had to run over something, he would do it.”
He added: “I think this is a lesson for everyone, especially politicians standing outside the courthouse. Don’t be someone’s groupie. Once you become someone’s groupie, you lose your judgment, you project. Because it starts.” So when Michael said he was going to take that guy’s bullet, he was really hoping that’s what Donald Trump thought of him from a projection standpoint, but of course Trump doesn’t think that way about anyone. So, what went wrong was that Michael got in trouble for what he did for Donald Trump, and Trump walked away from them, and that was the beginning of a breakdown in loyalty. ”
Scaramucci added: Trump believes in asymmetrical loyalties. This is why all his relationships end in this kind of darkness. ”
