PETA claimed that investigators in the Asia-Pacific region found cases of abuse, including “sheep being whipped, manhandled, and beaten with objects such as metal-tipped rods” on farms visited.
They allege that “a shearer repeatedly slammed the sheep's head against a hard wooden board while hurling expletive-filled threats.”

Lauer has not publicly commented on the allegations.
