Alleged Antifa member faces attempted murder charges following threat to Nancy Mace

Attempted Murder Charges for Antifa Suspect After Threats Against Congresswoman

A violent Antifa member and transgender suspect now faces attempted murder charges related to a shooting incident. This comes after Congresswoman Nancy Mace expressed her concerns about the suspect, who she believes posed a threat long before these recent events. Mace stated that authorities did not take her warnings seriously, leading to an avoidable shooting.

Michael Richard Fadic, also known as “Lem Heesen,” was arrested several months after Mace reported threats to her safety, which prosecutors chose not to investigate further. In May 2025, Fadic shared a provocative image on Instagram featuring Mace with a gun pointed at him, a gesture Mace described as blatantly threatening. Despite her office notifying the authorities about this post, no charges were filed at that time.

Mace remarked, “The prosecution did nothing.” She emphasized that now, after eight months, Fadic is charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a man in Portland just last month. She noted, “A man is in the hospital because the system failed to stop a violent extremist when it had the chance.”

Portland police shared that Fadic’s attempted murder charge relates to a December shooting in Oregon City where a man suffered from gunshot wounds. The victim was treated in the hospital, and fortunately, his injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Authorities identified Fadic as a pagan during the investigation, leading to the seizure of several weapons, including a rifle and handgun. He was indicted on multiple charges, including attempted murder and unlawful use of a weapon. Heesen was apprehended in California on January 8 and subsequently taken into custody in Oregon. Another individual was also arrested on charges including weapons possession and extortion.

Currently, Heesen is held at the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, with jail records listing the suspect as female. Mace expressed frustration, saying, “This blood is on the hands of every prosecutor who saw this threat and turned a blind eye,” while also praying for the safety of those around Fadic.

Mace pointed out that Fadic’s online activity was filled with Antifa-related material and violent rhetoric, another indicator of the potential danger he posed. “All the red flags were there,” she lamented. In a post on social media, she reiterated her concerns about the inaction of prosecutors, stating they missed an opportunity to prevent further violence.

Mace is now calling on the Justice Department and the FBI to investigate why federal prosecutors didn’t act on the threats against her and whether Fadic should face federal charges for his actions against members of Congress. “Violent extremists, your threats will not silence us,” she declared.
