The Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) recently released the identities of nearly a dozen attempted robbery suspects within the Palisades fire evacuation zone in Santa Monica, but none of them live in town, police said.
Officials said six of the 10 suspects were in possession of “robbery tools.” All of them came to the disaster area from outside the town.
SMPD told Fox News that the department has arrested 39 people in the evacuation zone since the Palisades Fire began.
Those who were not charged with attempted robbery were cited for curfew violations, drug possession, warrants, parole and probation violations, and other charges.

Officials said none of the 39 people arrested were from Santa Monica.
Police said one of the robbery suspects, Joshua Kariel Love, 29, fled from officers and was arrested with a dagger, window-breaking tools, a mask, gloves and drugs. . At the time of his arrest, he was on probation.

The other two robbery suspects, Dominic Pachecomanga, 18, and Miguel Angel Dorantes, 22, were traveling in a van without identification and wearing gloves. , had robbery equipment, dark clothing, a ski mask and a large tote bag, officials said.

Police said 27-year-old Gabriel Isai Stokes was arrested after a plate reader marked the car he was driving in Santa Monica as stolen. Police said the man was found with a stolen California ID, another fake ID, burglary tools, a black beanie and ski mask, and a large bag.
