Alleged drunk driver who crashed into LI nail salon and killed 4 is indicted on murder charges: report

A suspected drunk driver accused of crashing into a Long Island nail salon last month, killing four people, including a young NYPD officer, has been charged with murder, according to reports.

Suspect Steven Schwalli, 64, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Riverhead on a grand jury indictment that includes four counts of second-degree murder, sources told Newsday on Monday.

Schwary is accused of drunk driving when he crashed his Chevrolet Traverse into Hawaii Nail & Spa in Deer Park on June 28, killing four people, including an off-duty NYPD officer.

No additional charges have been disclosed and the indictment remains unsealed, Newsday reported.
