Allie Beth Stuckey’s Turning Point USA Speech Sparks Controversy

During a speech at Turning Point USA, host Allie Beth Stuckey described pornography as “evil in every sense of the word,” which led to backlash from men who considered themselves aligned with her Christian and conservative viewpoints.

Some critics labeled her a “feminist” and suggested she shouldn’t address men directly. Stuckey clarified that her speech echoed sentiments that Charlie Kirk, a significant figure in that organization, was passionate about.

“Certain right-wing men, probably on the political right who claim to be Christians, expressed complete outrage over my speech regarding the dangers of pornography,” she shared on her podcast, “Relatable.”

She recounted personal attacks directed at her, including being called a negligent wife and a poor mother, and was told that her place was to only communicate with women. “Crazy, isn’t it?” she remarked.

Stuckey highlighted the core message of her speech, which was important enough that Kirk had invited her to speak prior to his tragic death. Among the points she made was the idea that pornography “made men weaker,” serving as a trigger for the ensuing criticism.

She referenced Kirk’s ability to address young men courageously, saying that it targeted not only men but women and children as well. “Porn commodifies sex, glorifies violence, fosters addiction, and can lead to marital destruction. It’s a loophole in anti-trafficking laws,” she stated emphatically. “It’s fundamentally evil and can ruin lives.”

Addressing men, she said, “We need you. Your masculinity, strength, boldness, and courage are vital for the good.” She tied her argument back, asserting, “We really need strong men, and porn makes you weak.”

Stuckey faced false claims from some “Christian conservative” men who mischaracterized her message. “I’ve worked tirelessly to dissociate women from progressivism and influence their views on topics like abortion and marriage,” she responded. “It’s absurd to label me a feminist preaching to men, and just shows how comfortable people are with spreading lies.”
