Allie Beth Stuckey educates 'liberal Christians' in a popular Jubilee debate

Allie Beth Stuckey Engages in Debate with Liberal Christians

Allie Beth Stuckey, a host on Blaze TV, showcased her debate skills on the YouTube show “Surrounded,” produced by Jubilee. During the episode, she engaged with 20 individuals identifying as liberal Christians, discussing various faith-related topics.

Both Glenn Beck, co-founder of Blaze Media, and host Stu Bruguiere praised her performance, with Stu noting that she “did a great job.” However, opinions among the participants varied, particularly when one debater confronted Stuckey regarding her views on abortion.

The debater expressed concern about her portrayal of the abortion issue, stating, “You have argued in the past that the liberal pro-choice position means we are not telling the whole truth.” He added that while she described abortion as violent and painful, many abortions occur before the fetus can feel pain, which typically develops much later.

Stuckey responded with a provocative question: “Is murder only wrong if there is someone who feels pain?” The debater insisted it was misleading to label abortion as violent when it wasn’t intrinsically painful.

Stuckey defended her stance, asserting, “It’s violent. Even if you take the abortion pill, you’re starving that person.” She maintained that abortion equated to the killing of a human being, positioning her views firmly.

As the discussion advanced, the debater attempted to challenge Stuckey’s logic, making remarks that felt somewhat condescending when she compared abortion to murder. He redirected the debate by stating, “No, we’re talking about abortion, not anything else.” Stuckey sought clarity, pressing him on whether it was justified to terminate an innocent life simply because they don’t feel pain.

The debater claimed that “abortion is medical care for women who need it,” sidestepping her question. Throughout, Glenn noted Stuckey’s upbeat demeanor during the debate, while Stu observed that though the debater raised some poor points, he often evaded responding when challenged.
