Ally Bank Partners with USGA to Boost Women’s Golf
In early 2024, Ally Bank announced a collaboration with the USGA, aimed at promoting women’s golf on a larger scale.
The upcoming US Women’s Open, set to take place next week at Erin Hills, Wisconsin, features the largest prize pool on this season’s LPGA Tour. It’s clear that women’s sports, particularly golf, have needed substantial financial backing. That’s where Ally steps in, drawing on its extensive support history within the sport.
On the Friday before the tournament, I had the chance to chat with Stephanie Marciano, who works in sports and entertainment for Ally. She shared insights about the close partnership Ally has formed with the USGA, including the digital initiatives and broadcast collaborations designed to create an ideal experience for these events.
“By partnering with USGA, we were able to build a partnership that serves our fans.”
Research indicates that four out of five female sports fans recognize the Ally brand, which helps foster conversations right from the start. Stephanie emphasized that these partnerships with organizations like the USGA provide various opportunities for their audience.
Ally is committed to offering access to golfers while aiming to reduce financial obstacles, especially within the community. They are hosting a US clinic and golf event to encourage new golfers, particularly college women, to learn the game and use it as a networking tool for their careers, scheduled for the week of May 29th. Ally is deeply invested in the community.
Additionally, Marciano highlighted that Ally serves as the founding partner of USGA’s national development program. While raising awareness about women’s participation in golf is essential, providing future growth opportunities in the sport is where much of the critical work lies.
The US Women’s Open might be someone’s initial introduction to golf, and Ally aims to make it the first of many memorable experiences.
Consider Lilia Vu, ranked sixth in the Rolex standings, as an ally in promoting their mission and raising awareness. Their goal is to help people recognize the enjoyment and value that golf can bring throughout life.
The US Women’s Open, supported by its allies, is regarded as one of the most thrilling events in the golfing world.
This excitement plays a significant role in keeping people engaged with the game.
With ally involvement, it certainly seems promising.
