Mother of Missing Woman Speaks Out

The mother of a woman who disappeared during a trip with her boyfriend in Illinois shared with Fox News Digital that “he has changed his story a couple times” while police continue their search for her.

According to the Palatine Police Department, 24-year-old Alyssa Smith has been missing since September 30. She went to Chicago with her boyfriend and hasn’t returned home, her mother, Rebecca Smith, revealed on Thursday.

“We’re going through hell,” she expressed. “We just want her home. Her sisters are waiting for her to come back.”

Rebecca has been posting updates and sharing flyers on social media, desperately calling for her daughter’s return.

Alyssa’s boyfriend, Jacob Ray Caso, returned from Chicago alone, as Rebecca confirmed. “He has changed his story a couple times, so I’m a little confused,” she remarked, adding that she previously had a good relationship with him.

Currently, Caso isn’t facing any accusations of wrongdoing. However, Fox News Digital spoke with his mother, who mentioned that he has gone back to the Chicago area multiple times in an effort to find Alyssa. She also noted that he prefers to remain silent about the case at this moment.

Reports indicate that Smith may have been spotted on October 3 in Grant Park and around Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road. Police are working on verifying these claims and are pursuing more information regarding her whereabouts.

Alyssa Smith, described as a White female about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 135 to 140 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. She has several body piercings and various tattoos, including a notable “Pennywise” tattoo on her left shoulder. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light khaki pants or sweatpants, and white Adidas sneakers.

Anyone with information on Alyssa’s location or who may have seen her is urged to contact local law enforcement or dial 911. Rebecca Smith emphasized, “We want to get the word out that if you see something, say something. Call 911.”
