Smoke-filled video showed the moment an American Airlines plane suffered a tire blowout during takeoff at Tampa International Airport in Florida.
The Federal Aviation Administration and American Airlines confirmed to Fox News Digital that the Boeing 737-800 plane crashed around 7:50 a.m. ET on Wednesday while en route from Tampa International Airport to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona.
The airline said there were 174 passengers and six crew members on board.

The video of the incident included: American Airlines plane Smoke and flames were rising from the right tire as the plane traveled down the runway.
Tire debris was left on the runway and the plane’s tires appeared to be shooting sparks.

“We’ve got a flat tire,” flight spotter Capt. Steven Markovich is heard yelling in the video. “Emergency! Emergency! Emergency! There’s a fire!”
“There’s going to be stuff strewn all over the runway,” he added. “Oh my goodness, I think it’s on fire!”

American Airlines said passengers were safely removed from the plane after the tire incident and taken by bus back to the terminal.
“We never want to disrupt anyone’s travel plans and we apologise for any inconvenience caused,” a spokesman said.

The airline said the plane had a mechanical problem and that the FAA was investigating the accident.
The Texas-based airline said no one was injured in the incident.
