Amon-Ra St. Brown and Ben Johnson promised to ‘f— up’ each other after coach left for Bears

There's nothing but respect between Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his (now former) offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, but that doesn't stop them from exchanging shots as Johnson exits. I couldn't stop it.

Johnson accepting the head coaching job in Chicago means the teams will meet twice a year, with both players and coaches hoping to pick on each other.

“I told him, 'Twice a year, Ben, I'm going to mess you up.' He said, 'I'm going to mess you up.'

Mr. St. Brown said Mr. Johnson was clearly a pleasant person, adding that Mr. Johnson was one of, if not the best. of the best Any coach he ever played for. The receiver, who praised his intelligence for the game and his approach to coaching, said he completely understands it's time for Johnson to leave, and if he had stayed in Detroit for one more year, why Johnson? He added that there would have been questions around the league about his departure. I don't want to improve his career.

Interestingly, St. Brown also left Johnson out of the three teams he had selected, joking that it was okay because Johnson was a “traitor.” According to the receiver, his coach had decided whether he would play for the Bears, Jaguars or Raiders on Sunday night, but had not made a final decision.

St. Brown also debunks the ridiculous theory that Johnson ruined the Lions' playoff game in order to move on, with Ben participating in preparation all week and rooming with him. And the idea that a coach as talented as Johnson was blessed with his full potential was laughable.

The NFC North is going to be fun next season.
