Amy Schumer is feeling quite emotional this Valentine’s Day.
The “I Feel Pretty” actress recently shared her plans through an Instagram story on Saturday, posting a photo of herself in a tranquil corner, looking calm yet smiling.
A colorful pastel banner was draped overhead that read “Crying Corner,” and you could spot a tissue box and a water bottle in the background.
“Give yourself all the love today,” she wrote above her photo, adding a quirky note—”Happy bye day.”
In this self-care themed image, she had her hair pulled back in a ponytail and was fully made up.
The 44-year-old comedian filed for divorce from her husband Chris Fisher, aged 45, back in January, marking the end of their seven-year marriage.
She made the separation public in a December 12 Instagram post: “Blah blah blah, Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our 7 year marriage.” She continued, “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate your respecting our privacy at this time.”
Previously, she shared a since-deleted photo of the two riding the subway with a playful caption referencing her weight and Fisher’s accomplishments, expressing love and respect for family.
The couple had tied the knot quietly in 2018 and welcomed their son Gene the following year.
Rumors of trouble in paradise emerged in 2021 when Fisher presented her with a birthday cake that cheekily read, “I’m leaving you. This was the only way I could think of.” Fans seemed puzzled and concerned after seeing the cake.
Throughout the summer of 2023, Schumer traveled in Europe alongside Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica, sparking further speculation about issues in her marriage.
Before filing for divorce, she showcased a noticeable weight loss on social media, even sharing a photo without her wedding ring. A source indicated that, despite the divorce, the couple continues to live together to co-parent their son.
“She looks forward to co-parenting him full-time and seeing Gene as much, if not more, than she does now,” the source mentioned. “For the sake of the kids, they remain under the same roof.”
