Senate Democrats slam Biden for Egypt military funding over human rights issues

More than a dozen Senate Democrats have condemned President Biden's decision to award $320 million in U.S. military aid to Egypt despite serious human rights concerns about the Cairo government. It marks the first time the Biden administration has decided to award the full amount during his presidency and comes at a time when the U.S. is relying heavily on Egypt as a mediating partner between the two countries.

Two Springfield schools evacuated, another closed
