The former partners of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, who were both once hosts on “Good Morning America,” are now engaged to each other.
Andrew Shue, Amy Robach’s ex-husband, and Marilee Fiebig, T.J. Holmes’ former wife, were taken by surprise when ABC revealed the affair between Robach and Holmes, leading to the dismissal of the co-hosts. Sources indicate that Shue, an actor, and Fiebig, a lawyer, began their relationship following the fallout from their previous marriages.
The announcement of their engagement was made public on October 21.
“I don’t know exactly how it all unfolded, but somehow, there’s a happy ending,” Shue shared in an interview.
He reflected on the process of coming to terms with his divorce from Robach, saying, “I had to acknowledge my own role in our marriage not succeeding.”
Shue also touched on the unique situation that led to his relationship with Fiebig: “It just turned out to be our way of getting to know each other and really connecting during a time when we both needed support.”
Expressing gratitude and optimism, he noted, “We’re very grateful and hopeful,” according to the reports.
After both facing the very public and dramatic circumstances surrounding their former spouses, Shue and Fiebig developed a friendship that blossomed into love over the course of more than three years. Shue proposed in the spring of 2026.
Just days before this engagement news broke, it was reported that Robach and Holmes had gotten married on September 19 in Arkansas.
