Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is taking on Andrew Tate.
The state attorney general has launched a criminal investigation into the British-American Manfluencer and his brother Tristan.
The announcement made Tate boast that investigators were unable to convict him as investigators would remove all data from the electronics.
“Come, arrest me, arrest me, get me for a walk and put me in the news,” he said in an anger in an interview with Candace Owens. Posted on Wednesday afternoon. “Tell me I'm a human trafficker.”
“You think I'm not ready?” he continued. “f – Attack me, raid my house, take mine. Do you think I'm sleeping on a phone full of evidence? You don't think I wipe my phone every night? Do you think I'm an idiot?”
Tate, 38, seized his electronics while Florida officials were investigating him for unspecified fraud and told Owens he was innocent of any crime.
Tate argued that DeSantis and Attorney General James Usmier were targeting him because they were afraid of him.
“They are very afraid of me,” he told Owens. “They fear me because of my political influence. I can galvanize male young people in any direction I think is suitable.”
He also speculated that DeSantis in particular was concerned that Tate would oppose his wife Casey's upcoming candidacy, rumored to be running for the governor.
However, sources in Desantis' office posts that the governor has not been moved by Tate's provocation.
“If Andrew Tate believes the governor has some kind of personal fear or revenge towards him, he is paranoid,” says a high-level source. “The governor doesn't care about his supposed 'impact'. He is just trying to make sure justice is offered. ”
Uthmeier launched a criminal investigation into the widely known conservative influencer and brother Tristan, and announced Tuesday that he is seeking a subpoena and search warrant in the brother's case.
A “preliminary investigation” was conducted on the Tate brothers.
Andrew and Tristan, 36, have attracted millions of fans on social media between boys and young men, but have been accused of exploiting women in Europe and putting together the rings of criminals arrested in late 2022.
The duo denied any cheating. After pressure from the Trump administration, travel restrictions were recently lifted by Romanian officials who allowed the Tate brothers to reach the United States, but if summoned by judicial authorities, they will have to return.
One of the suspect's victims in the Romanian incident is from Florida. She accused Tates of inviting her to Romania by pretending to be a romantic relationship. When she arrives in the countryside, she says she is pressured to work as a porn model.
It is unclear whether these allegations are part of the Florida investigation. At a press conference Tuesday, Uthmeier refused to provide details, but promised to use “all tools” to bring Tates to justice.
“These people themselves are publicly acknowledging women from around the world to participate in what appears to be soliciting, trafficking and preying,” he told reporters.
“They want it, but they can spin it, but in Florida, this type of action is heinous. We're not going to accept it.”
