Incident at Andy Reid’s Office
In May 2024, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid found himself in a rather startling situation. Reports indicate that a bullet struck his office within the team’s medical facility. Fortunately, Reid was not injured, and there were no reported casualties stemming from this incident. He was alone at the time, and the bullet came through the wall, landing between his office door and the restroom.
The Kansas City Police Department informed local media outlets that no arrests have been made yet. They also noted that the shooting does not appear to be targeted, either by an individual or organization. Interestingly, it was reported that two other bullets had penetrated the facility around the same time.
While the police continue to investigate the incident as a potential larger assault, Reid himself has opted not to comment publicly on the situation. This incident follows closely after Reid led the Chiefs to victory against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII earlier this year.
At 67, Reid is recognized as one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history, boasting a career primarily with the Chiefs and previously, the Philadelphia Eagles. His impressive record includes three Super Bowl titles and an overall coaching record of 273 wins, 146 losses, and one tie, factoring in playoff games as well.
