Reid’s Wedding Attendance Uncertain Amidst Kelce’s Focus
Chiefs coach Andy Reid’s attendance at the anticipated wedding of player Travis Kelce remains unclear.
With the wedding rumored to take place next month, reports indicate that Madison Square Garden in New York City is the chosen venue for the event. This location might feel like a significant choice, given its renowned status.
When asked about a potential invitation to the wedding, Reid didn’t confirm his attendance, saying, “I can’t talk about it, I can’t talk about it.”
Yet, amid the wedding buzz, Reid emphasizes that Kelce has been dedicated to his training after deciding to play another season. “I was here most of the offseason, if not the entire offseason,” Reid noted, highlighting Kelce’s commitment.
The coach added, addressing wedding distractions, “If it’s anything like my wedding, my wife did everything. I just followed her lead. Maybe Kelce is doing more, but he really seems focused on this job right now.”
Both Kelce and Swift have had a busy offseason beyond football and wedding plans. Recently, Swift joined several celebrities in New York to celebrate during the Knicks’ dramatic win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Interestingly, Kelce wasn’t present, potentially due to training obligations or perhaps being a long-time Cavaliers fan. Reid seems confident that Kelce’s priority has been the team lately, suggesting the latter could be the reason.
Last season was challenging for the Chiefs, ending with a 6-11 record, leading many to speculate that Kelce might retire to spend time with Swift after their engagement was announced on Instagram just before the 2025 NFL season started.
Despite those retirement rumors, Kelce signed a three-year contract on March 9 to stay with the Chiefs.
As the season opener approaches, Kelce will take to the field against the Denver Broncos, likely sporting a brand new engagement ring.
