Angel Reese ends Victoria's Secret campaign following WNBA trade

Life in New York continued as usual following the notable trade of two-time Chicago Sky All-Star Angel Reese to the Atlanta Dream on Monday.

The 23-year-old forward made an appearance at the launch of Victoria’s Secret’s first global campaign, “Season of Strapless,” held at the flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Shot in Barbados, this summer campaign showcases Reese holding a bottle of the brand’s new Bombshell Bronze perfume while wearing a strapless maroon top and matching bottoms.

Arriving in a limousine, the Reebok athlete, sporting a curly pixie cut, posed in front of the campaign’s storefront at the Victoria’s Secret store.

“As the face of the summer season, Angel will lead with impact the Bombshell Bronze Fine Fragrance, the Summer Swim Collection, and the new Invisible by Victoria’s Secret Strapless Collection,” mentioned Adam Selman, Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Victoria’s Secret & Co.

Having started her modeling career back at LSU, Reese is already familiar with the Victoria’s Secret brand.

The former NCAA champion made history as the first professional athlete to walk in a Victoria’s Secret fashion show, debuting on their runway in New York last October.

Reese has also made an appearance in Sports Illustrated’s 2023 Swimsuit Issue.

As Reese’s trade sends ripples through the WNBA, Victoria’s Secret has unveiled its summer campaign.

The Sky will receive first-round picks in both 2027 and 2028, while the Dream will get a second-round pick in return for Reese in 2028.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to join the Atlanta Dream organization,” Reese expressed. “I am focused on continuing to grow my game, competing at the highest level, connecting with my fans, and giving my all for my dreams.”

Reese and the Sky, despite her not asking for a trade, collaborated closely to find her a new team. According to reports from ESPN, there was an amicable understanding between both sides.

In her first two seasons in the WNBA, Reese averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds per game, leading the league in double-doubles last season with a total of 23.
