Anthony Edwards is one of the NBA's brightest young stars, but his Achilles' heel is quickly becoming unstoppable. Edwards was fined a whopping $100,000 on Sunday for using profanity in a postgame interview after defeating the Rockets.
Needless to say, this video contains abusive language.
“I gotta go get it, girl. Nickel found me and he cut me off, so I'm like shit to go for the win. As Gilbert Arenas said, 'I don't do overtime. So, shit.”
Quoting Gilbert Arenas is certainly an option, saying that the NBA wouldn't find this funny by handing Ant a six-figure fine, and that part of that hefty fine was due to “during a media interview. Edwards' history of using profanity.'' ”
Its history is quite well documented. It wasn't a bad thing, but on Nov. 17, he was fined $35,000 for pointing the finger at a Kings fan.

On December 9, he was fined $25,000 for using profanity in the locker room.
Julius Randle asked what needed to change when Golden State scored two runs off Anthony Edwards in the fourth inning.

“I have to play better!”
Then, on Dec. 23, he was fined $75,000 for criticizing and badmouthing officials in a postgame interview after a loss to the Warriors.
“It’s fucking awful, everyone but the woman. […] This shit was awful. They want to get back at my coach and they want to get back at me. I said a few words to the referee and he gave me the technique. My mother ****** told one of my teammates that if I had said, “Everyone's making bad fouls,'' he wouldn't have given me the technique. ”
If he kept the score at home, he would be fined a total of $235,000 over just over a month for three counts of abusive language and one count of obscene gesture. It's a tough balancing act for the Wolves' young star to walk. On the one hand, his emotions are part of what makes him such a great player, but the guy has to learn not to let it boil over.
